Chronograph V172 SSC085P1
I was looking at the auctions ending soon and came across this new chronograph, the SSC085P1. It reminds me a lot of the new Tag Heuer Carerras. I think a lot of Seikos are “homages” of some other watch actually. This movement runs of solar energy.
By eliminating the need for battery change in a quartz watch, SEIKO Solar makes an obvious and important contribution to the cause of a healthier planet. SEIKO was an early pioneer in solar watch technology, with its first Solar watch being launched in 1977.
I wasn’t aware that solar watches went back that far. I know there have been a lot of Seiko Solar models in recent years.
I can’t decide if it’s too busy or just clean enough for a chronograph.
