Here’s one that I won’t be winning. With over 4 days left, it is already well above what I would want to pay. The price has already doubled from when I first started watching this auction, from $300 to $600 (at time of publishing this). I’m not sure when or what occasion I’d want to wear this one. This one would most likely be just to look at once in a while.
The 7A28-7000 is nicknamed the “Alien” because Sigourney Weaver wore this watch in the classic 80’s movie Aliens. This watch was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro. Giugiaro was responsible for some classic car designs such as the DeLorean and the BMW M1. What sets this one apart from other chronographs is the vertical stopwatch pushers. The colors are are not as subtle as the other 7A28s that I’ve seen. The bright yellow minute markers and orange hands remind me of the terrible neon clothes we wore in the 80’s.
